Thanksgiving! Cricut Simply Charmed & Create a Critter

Hi there!,

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and here I am with photos from 4 years ago gathering dust in my photo boxes!  I know there's even older ones in other boxes also!  LOL!!  Well, it is fun to see all my kids and friends and family from a few years ago.  The kids grow WAY too fast!  I probably have a 1000 more photos to put in a scrapbook...Yikes!

The pad of paper I used is by DCWV and is so nice!  I love the thick, glossy paper and the cute little sayings on some of the sheets. (It was on sale at Joann's for $9.99)  The one I used in this layout the words: memories, fall, autumn & love. I cut a 2" border around 2 sides to adhere to the leafy page that is also sparkly. I then put a 8x8" piece of burnt orange in the middle so it would have so much going on.  Especially in photos, a page with lots of patterns, cut-outs, photos and embellishments looks too crowded.  I always like the cleaner, more simple look of the layout before the photos go on!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

I popped up the Happy Thanksgiving with pop-dots - love the little cutie pie faces in the "a" and the "g" :~)

See the little smiley guy in the "a"?  I think it would have looked a little better on darker shadow paper instead of the medium brown but no way to yank the green letters off!

I added an orange button and a little twine around Mr. Turkey - he looked like he needed a little something!

Here's the paper from Joann's
  • Paper - Bazzill
  • Patterned Paper - DCWV Amber Autumn 12x12" stack
  • Cricut - Thanksgiving - Simply Charmed;  Turkey - Create a Critter; 2006 - Graphically Speaking.
